Compare the heating costs by the individual energy types.

In order to calculate the heating costs it is necessary to know the heat losses of your house. Heat losses given in kW determine the heat output necessary to achieve the required temperature in your house at design temperature. The design temperature depends on the location of your house. The calculation of heat losses is a part of the project documentation of your house. Their approximate value can be determined also on the basis of the house dimensions or yearly gas consumption if you use gas for heating or on the basis of power consumption if you use direct heating.

type A – old building, thin walls; type B – old building built with better thermo-insulation characteristics (thicker walls without thermal insulation); type C – older building with a higher thermo-insulation standard (with thermo-insulation); type D – new building with a high thermo-insulation standard (with thermo-insulation)
